Bicycle Universe

June 2017

Bicycle Universe is an online bicycle advocacy website.
My job was to update the website logo. I was given creative freedom with the logo, the color scheme, and the typeface.
The only requirements mentioned was that the logo had to be modern, and that it could be used on any surface or medium. The client had the idea of a bicycle with the globe or planet in place of the wheels.
This logo design is among my favorites that I have done. It works well on any medium, looks equally good as a single color or a two color logo, and is a good representation of the brand.

Some of my better initital Concepts.

Trying out color schemes on the picked design. The colors of the existing logo were a light shade of green and blue.

SchoolNexus

February 2017

SchoolNexus is a School Management and Automation System.
I was tasked with creating the entire system from scratch. I created everything from graphic assets, to the user-interface, the program logic, and the database schema.
I started with the logo design. I was given no specific requirements about the logo, only that it should look good.
I tried to convey the idea of the product in a visually pleasing manner with the logo.
The logo is made up of a group of pencils around a cube. The pencils obviously represent the academic nature of the product. The multitude of pencils represent the different aspects of the schools management the application planned to cover. The cube or package alludes to the product being a software application. The logo as a whole loosely resemebles a flower.
I settled on green as the primary color of the product.

The design process went a little something like this:

I had trouble coming up with good concepts for the design initially. The concepts were generic, unappealing and downright ugly. The concepts in the first half of the process would've made for terrible logos.
I love the evolution of this design.

Saad Khan - Personal Branding

June 2015

While it may look weird and unprofessional to include one's personal emblem on one's portfolio, I like the logo too much to resist the temptation.
I started dabbling in graphic design when I was fourteen. I have tried and have made innumerable terrible logos for myself and my personal brand since. It took until my current logo for me to be satisfied with a design.
My brand colors are blue (five different shades of it) and white, which you have most likely, if I am doing my job correctly, surmised already going through this website.
My personal motto / tagline is "Gold Without Glitter" which is stolenborrowed from the Strider's Song From the Lord of The Rings. I like Tolkien.

A brief, and thoroughly revised history of my logo.

I have included only the designs that would not make one rip their eyes out in horor and disgust. As such these are just a handful of examples from the aforementioned numberless terrible designs. You are welcome!

Scheduler Express

October 2015

Scheduler Express is a scheduling and task planning web application. I was tasked with coming up with a brand identity for this under-development project at a really early part of its development.
This logo was one of the quickest I've completed yet. The client liked my intital concepts, and I only had to polish it from there.
The logo is pretty simple, but looks nice and represents the brand well.

The design process is below:

Writer's Court

May 2017

Writer's Court is a legal blog. The owner of the blog wanted a logo that captured both the writing and the legal aspects of the blog.
I was given a basic outline for a color scheme, the client wanted black and red to be her brand colors.
I came up with a number of initial concepts that unusually all looked pretty good. The logo design was pretty quickly wrapped up.

Harpsea

May 2017

A Sacramento based Producer wanted a logo to go with his brand. I was provided with a couple of examples of the logos that the client liked.
I was tasked with creating a text based logo. The client didn't want any color in the logo. The feedback to the initial concepts revealed that the client wanted a logo that looked modern and simplisitic.

DigitCap

May 2014

This was the first logo I was paid to design. It may be the soft spot that I have for this design speaking, but I think it looks pretty good. Good enough for me to feature it among, what I consider to be, my best designs.
The company was supposed to be a digital time capsule, which is exactly what it sounds like it is. I had to get through a long process of design to arrive at the final design. It was a learning experience. Ultimately, out of the steaming pile of manure that most of my design concepts were, came this decent looking logo.

Schooltastic

January 2019

Schooltastic is a School Management Web Application. I was tasked with the brand identity design before development on the application began. I chose a lighter shade of green as the primary color of the application.
The design is a stylized owl, a nod to the academic nature of the product.

Raw Iron Fitness

July 2015

Logo for a Fitness Brand. The requirements were to cater the brand to tough, hard working people who do not mind getting their hands dirty.
The slogan was "Life is too short to be weak".
I was provided with clear specifications for the design, as well as the color scheme.

Reverse Tide

October 2014

Reverse Tide is an academic consultation website. I was tasked with recreating the existing logo of the website. The website's color was blue.
The client had a few symbols he wanted to associate with the brand and thus wanted to be integrated into the brand identity.
The Globe, The Graduation Cap, a Tidal Wave, and wings were some of his idea.
The logo isn't the most unique, but it works well with the brand.

InJawsWeTrust

October 2015

InJawsWeTrust is a Youtuber that focuses on food related content.
I made the new logo for the youtube page.
It was a pretty small and unremarkable job, but I like the logo. It has a different style to the other logos I have designed. I felt like I had to include it.
The colors of the brand were blue.

Ankita Aurora - Morfosis

March 2019

Ankita Aurora is a Life Coach and a Motivational Speaker. She needed a logo for her personal brand.
Ankita wanted a design that incorporated her initials into the designs. The first revision came with a suggestion to incorporate a butterfly, a symbol of her website Morfosis, into the logo.
Her colors were black and gold, while the colors of Morfosis were green and maroon.

SchoolNexus is a School Management and Automation System.
I was tasked with creating the entire system from scratch. I created everything from graphic assets, to the user-interface, the program logic, and the database schema.
I made a few interface mockups before I began working on the UI to have a reference point for the designs.
All of the design assets used in the application were made from the scratch.

Superhero Character Design / Birthday Card Design

February 2019

This job was two-fold. First I had to create a fictional superhero character. The character is in essence a slower Flash. A superhero caricature terrible at his job. The costume primary color was yellow and the secondary color was red.
The character would then be used to create a birthday card. The card is a tongue in cheek birthday wish. I created a western animation style version, an anime version, and a manga version of the character.

Three of the four sides of the card featuring the different versions of the superhero:

Bicycle Universe

June 2017 - Present

I have been designing graphics for Bicycle Universe since I made the logo for them in the June of 2017.
It has been a wonderful partnership and I have made almost every kind of graphic there is for them.
Some of the best work I have done for them is below.

Canal Control Plus

July 2017

Canal Control Plus, styled CanalControl+, is a recreation of an old Nokia phone game as both a web application, as well as an android app.
I created the logo, the UI mockups, and the sprites for the game.
I worked as a developer as well as a designer on this and created the entire game from scratch.

November 2018

Just a simple graphic design. This was supposed to be used both as a social media advertisement, as well as a printed poster.

Infographic Design

May 2016

A couple of infographics I made for a client. The infographics are guides on using the client's website. Pretty simple but visually pleasing design.

Vector Illustration

November 2018

This is a vector illustration I did while I was extremely bored one day. The illustration is mostly retracing using source materials with my own dash of flavor sprinkled here and there.

Football Statistical Analysis Infographic

November 2017

This was a statsitical analysis between three of the best football players for the season of 2016-17. The inforgraphic explores and compares the performances of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar Junior over the course of the season, in both domestic league and continental cup competitions.

Dinowar

January 2019

Dinowar was a great old 2D game. It is a game I enjoyed a lot as a kid. This is a fan made recreation of the old game. I worked voluntarily on this project with the developer. I made all the graphic assets for the game.

SchoolNexus

February 2017

SchoolNexus is a School Management and Automation System.
I was tasked with creating the entire system from scratch. I created everything from graphic assets, to the user-interface, the program logic, and the database schema. The application automates most of the
